THE TWENTY COVER

Updated: Oct 17, 2020

Make your own cover in life.

When you take charge you’ll be amazed with what you can achieve. Don’t wait for a big break - make it happen because it’s right there in front of you just waiting for you to take that leap of faith. Faith in yourself.

Be a star...be that queen or king that you are. Take it, run with it, live it and do whatever good that pleases you.
Don’t wait, because it’s right there ahead of you. You have an extensive runway... planet earth!

Meanwhile, fashion has been so greatly influenced by consumer society and the world of celebrity. Some may take an easy road, and simply try to emulate a particular celebrity…maybe copying a certain look. This may provide an initial feeling of looking like a celebrity…a little taste of “fantasy fame”. But there is a better route, because in the real world you can create your own celebrity… yes, it’s you.

Be your own true and unique celebrity!

If you work for it, and if you put in the time and effort, you’ll be recognized for it. One thing I love about personal creativity and social media, is that you don’t need a middle man to showcase your talent. You already have an audience and if people love what they see, they will support you.

THE VOGUE

Summer came and boom! Just like that it’s almost gone. I’ve found myself immersed in creativity of style….my style. Who would have known that almost everyone that is into fashion would create their own personal Vogue Cover. We got vogued! It was so much fun and inspirational for me. Many vogued this way, or that way…with many varied creative approaches in making their own Personal Vogue Cover.

I thought why not come from a whole different angle. Why not even turn things “upside down”. I do love a good challenge and at the end of it I felt like a winner.

It’s not money that makes you well dressed, it’s understanding fashion… your inner fashionista”.

We should take advantage of mixing and blending clothes. Take full advantage of it. I do it all the time and it is so much fun…never boring.

I’ve had so much fun especially this Summer- amongst all, I’ve gotten extremely creative with my style. While doing so I’ve created so many fantastic looks with at little as two to three pieces. And yes, I’ve mentioned that I’d even designed a unique Vogue Cover. I’ve pushed myself hard without compromise and everything I did or have done has been non negotiable...to myself. I’ve pushed boundaries because I’ve decided that there are not going to be any rules with me.

You know when you love fashion, there will definitely be times when you find yourself getting caught up in the trend train. It arrives and departs, then shows up once again at some point.

As you continue to grow while creating your own personal style, you’ll find yourself loving all the choices you have…the fashion world is your oyster! I am so comfortable with my own personal choices and I won’t hesitate breaking the so called rules. I believe that in my Stella world… there are no rules. Once upon a time our ancestors of fashion sat in a room and decided that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day, or that you shouldn’t wear a sunflower print dress in the winter. Hmmm.. I believe it was a wise woman that said…times change.

Winter season can be such a gloomy one. Why not layer up your summer dress and bring in the jolly sunshine during those cold winter months? Forget about what the grand mothers or grand dames of fashion suggested about what to, or what not to wear. BE the sunshine that lights up or powers up the season. BE a leader not a follower. BE an original not a copycat.

There can only be one you.

SKITTLES OF BENETTON

Nowadays fashionistas talk about conscious or sustainable clothing and minimalism. And of course we all have different thoughts and ideas.

I'm a fashion rebel. If my closet could have a name, it would be unconscious “Johnnie, everything and anything goes” as long us there is no cruelty associated with it. I am bold and vibrant, trust me I can be plain but still fabulous as well depending on my mood. Plain should never be boring as long as I can tweak or change, mix it up…I’m happy. It’s all a delicious box of chocolates mixed with glorious colorful skittles…United Colors of Benetton!

And remember, if you’re willing to go there…to “stand on your head”… you’ll get a whole new perspective and you may even turn the fashion world upside down!

What I’m saying is…never be afraid to live on the edge. Life’s too short to worry about things that need no worry.

Much Love.
